CENTRE FOR  INTERCULTURAL LEADERSHIP

Providing resources for cross-cultural workers, missionaries, students and mission-minded professionals (particularly those going from Africa and Asia) in how to create an understanding of God’s Word, through publishing, multimedia, training and research, using the framework of “Creating Understanding” (book by Donald K. Smith).

The Centre for Missions is at the heart of everything at CUI, keeping the Christ-vision alive and active, from the academic endeavours to the various ministries. True biblical theology needs to be the root of all that we do and teach at the institute.

There is currently very limited missions training in East Africa. The CUI Centre for Missions provides access to probably the largest missions library anywhere, with over 9000 volumes focused on missions, theology, and communication.

In addition to publications, the centre offers:

  • Books, missions training and instructional videos via this website
  • Short courses for churches and mission teams
  • Mentoring during field service
  • Intensive residential courses, and
  • Cooperating with Third World mission agencies, as is already being done with groups in Northern Africa, Indonesia, and Ethiopia.

Plans are in place to have, in the near future, a study and learning space focused on training missionaries and those with a heart for Christ-centered outreach. Research and study are integral to all our growing centres and teams, enabling us to discuss, research and challenge issues in missions.
