It’s back! We are delighted to have been nominated for 7 awards as ChemiChemi Players in this year’s Kenya Theatre Awards. 6 of those nominations are for Bad Girls of the Bible! Together, we want to change the way our Christian story is told in the marketplace – this is a fantastic start!
Join us for an inspiring and hands-on session with Dr Julisa Rowe — visionary theatre maker, Artistic Director of Chemichemi Players, award-winning producer and actress with over 40 years of experience in the arts.
Dr. Rowe has worked extensively with drama ministries in churches, schools and communities and travelled across the globe studying, documenting, and analyzing indigenous drama forms. Her work has also used the transformative power of theatre to spark dialogue and support healing within communities affected by trauma.

This June, Yafesi returns for a TWO-WEEK intensive writing class designed to push you beyond ideas into finished work.
The challenge?
Every participant must complete a One Act Play by the end of the class.
If you’ve been sitting on ideas, battling writer’s block, or looking for a space to sharpen your storytelling craft, this class is for you.
The session aims to help creatives turn their talents into profitable and sustainable ventures by equipping them with skills in monetizing creativity, building financial confidence, and developing structured businesses from their artistic passions.
