The impact of the entertainment industry on culture cannot be understated, for children, youth and adults. However, several artists involved in creating wholesome, family entertainment lack theological grounding, mentorship and accountability, meaning the positive spiritual impact within Kenya is limited.
The CUI Centre for Media provides platforms for sharing of wholesome content built on a foundation of Christ-centered training and mentorship. The content would be of strong moral and teaching content, but entertaining, with the Christian message both implicit and explicit.
The Centre will also have a for-profit media house (to enable the ministry branches to function) that will prepare high quality print, audio and video material with high moral and ethical standards from a Christian worldview.
This is done through;
- An industry standard state-of-the-art audio studio that can also be hired out
- Film and audio-visual gear including cameras and sound equipment
- Software and hardware for design, recording, editing, and with broadcast capabilities
- Professionally managed Social Media pages and channels
There is also very high demand for local content, due to the government’s requirement for a minimum of 40% local content in media, and children’s programming in particular. Where better to set the standard for family-oriented programming?
